Background, Description, Delivery and Learning Objective: With the race to meet the government’s renewable energy targets of 90% of electricity generation from clean renewable energy non-emitting resource by 2030, the need for standardization both in equipment and system performance is becoming more urgent. The use of standards throughout the full cycle of renewable energy projects can help in providing industry accepted guidance and supporting desired outcomes for: • Quality and performance of systems • Community and public acceptance • Objective evaluation criteria for economic and environment impacts
Standards can serve as a common minimum requirement where there are variances between existing laws and regulations. There is however a lack of centralized information tools to guide stakeholders on available standards to apply during Renewable Energy implementations. The Infographic sets out to provide a snapshot of standards and their applicability in the various types of installations with a visual representation of the standards interrelations.
