Chad Eggerman, B.A., LL.B, LL.M, PMP, QPJM (SK) (he/him) is a Partner at Procido LLP and a member of the law societies of Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta where he primarily practices project development law.
Chad has been advising Canadian, US and European IPPs, miners, and Indigenous groups on energy project development since 2004. During the past 20 years Chad has advised on nearly all aspects of power project development for most generation types in various jurisdictions. Chad leads the Energy Practice Group at Procido LLP which is comprised of 5 specialized energy professionals emerging as one of the foremost specialized renewable energy teams in Western Canada.
Prior to founding Procido LLP in 2022, Chad was a Partner at regional Western Canadian law firm for nearly three years and prior to that he was an equity Partner at a national law firm for more than seven years. Chad resided in Finland for seven years. During that time, he worked at a leading northern European business law firm based in Helsinki, Finland, and Stockholm, Sweden. Chad is currently Honorary Consul for Finland and maintains close connections to Europe. Chad has been listed in both leading Canadian peer-based legal directories, Lexpert and Best Lawyers, in Energy Law, Environmental Law and Aboriginal Law. Chad has previously been recognized as a “Rising Star” and “Leading Canadian Corporate Lawyer to Watch” by Lexpert. Chad is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and advises on the development of a broad range of projects in various industries other than energy - most notably mining and infrastructure.
