Carla Nassab is a project manager at the Canadian Standards Association (CSA Group) under the Energy Efficiency and Renewables Program. In her current role Carla manages multiple committees and projects in standards development and research in the area of renewable energy and energy efficiency. Prior to joining CSA, Carla worked for the UNDP in Lebanon as a Project Officer where she participated in the deployment of renewable energy projects in that region. Carla holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, a master’s in Sustainable Buildings and is currently completing her diploma in Public Administration and Governance. Carla has been active in the field of renewable energy implementation in communities, the public and private sectors for the past 10 years with a published peer review article on Commercial-scale hybrid solar PV – Diesel systems in Arab countries. Carla is part of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity advisory team at CSA Group, providing her input as a Middle Eastern female engineer with an extensive experience both academic and professional.
